    Hi,

    I try to build one Rss for my custom GC Modules and be able to add in the admin/services. Have you some sample about this for new v36?. I have applied the SelArom sample, but i lovely use the complete implementation of rssNews with the Administrator/services panel. I have tried using reflector but my solution is not working because i have one unknow problem during the initialisation with the Cache.

    [NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.]
       Telerik.Cms.Web.UI.CacheSettingsControl.SetCacheSettings(CachingManager cache, Boolean requireCaching, ICacheSettings settings) +137
       Telerik.Rss.WebControls.ControlPanel.CreateNewFeedControls() +1032
       Telerik.Rss.WebControls.ControlPanel.CreateChildControls() +260

    It's possible to copy this RssModule for GC Modules?; Could you explain more about the SetCacheSettings of Telerik.Rss.WebControls.ControlPanel ?

    Could you add this feature as custom implementation of new architecture v36+ of GC Modules?

    Regards.

    Hi,

    Thanks but I'm blocking inside Telerik.Rss.WebControls.ControlPanel.  CreateNewFeedControls() Lines 38 to 41 with the CacheSettings. Somewhere need to declare "this.settings.CacheSettings" in IRssSettingsControl.
    This is new implementation between v35r1720 and v36r1870 and I can't found what need to make and where.

    Regards

    Hi Pierre,

    When you inherit from a Generic Content module, the cache management of the Rss should be inherited as well. That said, you should not take care of this in your code.

    We will see if we will be able to provide an example on this.

    Kind regards,
    Georgi

    Hi Georgi,
    I have study Rss all this week end. Searching in Telerik.News as a sample where is declared or inherited and compared from olders dll but I can see where is. I'm lost and my Custom Modules generate errors with this issue. Could you suggest some solution please. Regards.

    Hi Pierre,

    Unfortunately we will not be able to provide you with samples at this time, but the documentation is on its way.
