How do I place an importance on the results of my search field? Would you like a particular page to always appear in first position and then the other results. Similar to the sponsored links from Google.

The point is that I have a database with entries, as this would be to find the relevance of a given user name, phone, email, like a profile, and then the normal search result. Is there any possibility to import this database into the existing base of SiteFinity?

Well where do I set this up?

    Thanks!

    Hello Marcus,

You can take a look at this KB - How to customize the indexing of html documents . There are InfoProvider fields on which you can set weight - used for ranking the search results. If you set a higher weight for example on the title and keywords fields, the pages with matching search term in these fields will have higher rank and will show on the top of search results list. Weight attributes are normalized from 0 to 1. Note: If weight is set to -1, the filtered tag text will not be indexed. This is useful if you want to exclude some html from the indexing

Thanks for the quick response! Very good link you gave me!
Another thing, I created a table with fields for creating a profile and created a page making the request (the page I created in Visual Studio) and it will be linked in the normal way by the search field or do I have to do something different?

    Thank you for listening!

    Hello Marcus,

External pages are also added to the index. You should set "Index this page" under Properties section >> More options of the page.

    Thanks! It worked perfectly!

Now to improve further refining the search is: How do I find the Searchquery the search field? I want the result that appears in bold turn a hyperlink, so I can build the page dynamically.

    Thank you.

    Hi Marcus,

The easiest way to do this is changing SearchResult control and getting the query from there. The match words are wrapped in <strong> tag, so you can easily extract the values. Each item that is returned is ResultItem object. The Resultitem has the following properties Title, Snippet, Url, Score which you can alter. Here is  a sample code that shows how to override the SearchResult control.
