    Hi Guys,

Really! This is one of the most frustrating pieces of software I have ever had to install!

I have now tried it on three different machines in our office and not ONE of them installed without any problems. Don't get me wrong, I have seen what Sitefinity can do once it is up and running but it is virtually impossible to get it running from the get go and all the documentation points to Windows Vista and nothing Windows XP.

Something else I have noticed in the forums is that the guys at Sitefinity assume that people are on their level and give replies or instructions which to the very first time user (for someone who's never worked with Sitefinty like me) makes no sense at all.

Please, I need help installing Sitefinity on a Windows XP Professional Machine, running IIS6 and ASP.NET 3.5

Where do I find documentation for this because I am now fedup and I have a deadline for the end of the month (May)

This is the error I am now getting with my installation.

Please, when you reply with an answer to this, look at it from my point of view. This make no sense to me at all so give me step by step instruction.

Great product guys but it should not be so difficult to get going.

    Thanks

    Server Error in '/telerik/Sitefinity3.6' Application.

Access to the path 'TIUSite_v3.6_SP1' is denied.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'TIUSite_v3.6_SP1' is denied.

ASP.NET is not authorized to access the requested resource. Consider granting access rights to the resource to the ASP.NET request identity. ASP.NET has a base process identity (typically {MACHINE}\ASPNET on IIS 5 or Network Service on IIS 6) that is used if the application is not impersonating. If the application is impersonating via <identity impersonate="true"/>, the identity will be the anonymous user (typically IUSR_MACHINENAME) or the authenticated request user.

To grant ASP.NET access to a file, right-click the file in Explorer, choose "Properties" and select the Security tab. Click "Add" to add the appropriate user or group. Highlight the ASP.NET account, and check the boxes for the desired access.
