I have the need for multiple pages in my SiteFinity website to share the same PageGroup (without having to duplicate them for each page.

For example i have the following pages:

    Resorts > Search Results
    Flights > Search Results
    Specials > Search Results

And then i have a page group that takes care of my "checkout" process:

    Review > Book > Confirm

All pages share the same booking process/pages... So for Resorts for example:

Resorts > Search Results > Review > Book > Confirm

So how can i make Flights and Specials pages share these page groups. Additionally i would like the pages to show up in the breadcrumb control. So if there is a way to share a page group between pages then they must also show up in this control as Resorts > Search Results > Review > Book > Confirm or Flights > Search Results > Review > Book > Confirm...

Is this possible? Or how can i achieve something like this without having a bunch of pages (the same pages) to manage...

    Duncan

    Hi Duncan,

    Thank you for contacting us.

Page groups and pages arranged in the Site map determine the url used for request of given page.
Breadcrumb control uses the sitemap to displays the path.

    Page groups cannot be shared.
What you need is some more specific control which to display path you want, specific to your idea.
Solution with many duplicating files is not good too.

Maybe you can think if it is possible to use only one page for
Resorts,Flights and Specials. If you are able to use one page then you will need only one page group. For the Breadcrumb control you can try changing dynamically the prefix (Resorts,Flights or Specials) and other part will be > Search Results > Review > Book > Confirm.

If you attach screenshot of your Site map so we have more information, we can try to provide you with another suggestion.

    All the best,

I'm not so concerned about the breadcrumb control, this i can live without or build a custom control to handle this in the way i want.

My major concern is structuring this SiteFinity website in the way i should be doing this... As i mentioned in my original post i have a few pages (different content) that need to funnel into the same "checkout" process...

I would be happy to attach screenshots and further details but not sure how to do this exactly here in the forums.

    Hi Duncan,

For Search Results > Review > Book > Confirm process which is common for all Resorts, Flights,Specials you can create a page group. Thus there will be no duplication of pages (which is very important if you need to make changes to pages in the future).
Another approach is to put all pages without page groups.

For example you can structure your pages this way:

      Resorts
      Flights
      Specials
      Search Results
       >  Review
           >  Book
               >  Confirm

    or plain structure:
    Resorts
    Flights
    Specials
    Search Results
    Review
    Book
    Confirm

    I hope this helps you.

    Kind regards,
