    Hi,

I have been supporting a project Developed in Sitefinity 3.7.2096.2 SP3 which has been deployed, the site gives the notification of "Trial Period", now the client needs to purchase the license of the same. I am not sure under which Edition of Version 3.7.2096.2 SP3 the project was developed. Please could you please provide me the mechanism to identify the same and also what are the licensing options available of that particular edition of Version 3.7.2096.2 SP3, As I am afraid if the Wrong Edition is purchased the project site might not have all features turned on all it might get unstable

    Thanks,

    Manoj Dwivedi

    Hi Manoj,

Sitefinity 3.7 SP4 licenses are available if at least a Standard edition license is purchased and require a manual backdating of the license. Moreover, we can only give you a license key for version 3.7 SP4 as older versions are no longer available.

However, please note that the support for version 3.7 will be gradually discontinued by the end of 2013. and we will stop activating version 3.7 licenses in the next few months because the product development has been discontinued. I strongly encourage you and your clients to consider migrating to Sitefinity 4.3 and take advantage of all the functionalities that come with it. Sitefinity 4.3 also comes with a new migration tool designed to help you migrate your websites to Sitefinity 4.

The easiest way to purchase your license is through our online store. In this way you will have the license in your account within minutes.

Let me know if you require further assistance!

    All the best,
    Siyka Kaloferova

Can you tell me what affects it could have on my current project which was built in 3.7.2096.2 SP3 (Dont know the edition) and which .Net framework does 3.7 SP4 needs, Also there are certain dependency projects of mine which cannot be migrated from their existing Framework (3.5). How much of redevelopment I have to undergo with the Version Changes. Please tell me the migration process that is required for migrating a 3.7.2096.2 SP3 to 3.7 SP4.

    Hello Manoj,

Generally there aren't big changes between Sitefinity 3.7 Sp3 and Sp4. As far as I remember you can only replace the bin folder and merge the web.config.

Apart from that here is a list with all required steps for upgrade from one 3.x to another 3.x version
