I want to create a sub domain for a website that I have deployed on a shred hosting environment.  I am only allowed a single database with my provider and I want to create a subdomain with its own set of users/roles.

    For example....

    www.mysite.com

    and the subdomain of

    membersonly.mysite.com

The users on the membersonly subdomain should only be able to access those pages to edit using an extremely locked down dashboard or Ivan's posted strategy on (Social Networking Platform (part 2).

Do I need two seperate databases to acomplish this or can it be done with one? and can I make it so that administrators can edit both the main site and the subdomain?

    Hi bleutiger,

There is a built in implementation for domain mapping from 3.7. More detailed information at Domain-Page mapping
