    Hello Quade,

You need to use the TagList control in Cloud mode. It is under the Tags & Category section of the toolbox controls.

    Hi Quade,

I attached a sample screenshot represents tags as a cloud. Please take a look at it. Is this the desired behavior? If not please elaborate a bit more about your approach.

Also check whether DefaultDisplayMode property of the control is set to "cloud".

    All the best,

I was having this problem as well.  You need to set your data provider to: Blogs.  For some reason this is not documented.  I had to find it on a supporting website.

    Cheers,

    Hi tdekoekkoek,

You should also set TaggedContentUrl and TagItemKey.

    Kind regards,

    Hello tdekoekkoek,

TaggedContentUrl  is the url to the ContentView control that represents your tagged content.
TagItemKey it is used when you navigate to the single tagged item. Its value should be the same as this one you use for CategoryKey in your ContentView control.

    Hello Quade,

The size of each tag depends on the number of the items tagged with the tag itself.

I don't know how or why I would need to set this control.  The tag should already be related to my blog so shouldn't the url already be set to my blog?  Also don't know why you mention CategoryKey, we are talking about tags, not categories.  Can you give me an example of what the TagItemKey should be set to in both cases?

    Hi tdekoekkoek,

I meant TagItemKey, not CategoryKey. TagItemKey value is passed as a QueryString. In TagList and BlogPosts/NewsView etc you should have the same value for TagItemKey.

Again,  I don't know what you mean.  I don't know what control I would be pointing to nor do I know what I would have TagItemKey set to in either case.

This post is a bit old but just in case someone else (as I just did) goes hunting and hunting trying to find out how this works, the value for TagItemKey needs to be set to BlogTagID. It seemed pretty clear that this was what you were asking for but never actually got an answer.

Hope this helps someone else out.

Now does anyone have the css to turn my cloud that currently displays as a list (with various font sizes) into an actual assorted cloud as you see on many blogs out there?

    Cheers,
    Phill

I have multiple blogs, so simply specifying a data provider of 'Blogs' and the content page being one of my blog pages (http://www.automatedresults.com/learn/sitefinity_blog.aspx) gives a tag cloud of all of my blogs.  Do I need to go to a content view control instead of Blog Post control to get this work?

Also, the MaxContentTagged property under Misc doesn't seem to limit the # of items in the list (ex. only 20 items)

    Hello Rich,

You can take a look at this post -Filtering Tags for specific blogs in a Tag Cloud?
Out of the box the control does not filter by blog or post -it shows data for all posts.

    Best wishes,
