    Hi,
I can't seems to find what ProviderName available for the TagsList control. I created a Image & document libraries, tag uploaded documents and need to display the tag clound with TagsList control. One of the property is ProviderName. From the forums and documentation, I can figure out couple provider like News but can't figure out what is the ProviderName for the tag that I created for my document library.

    thanks.

    Ken.

    Hello KWong,

The TagList control can work with every Generic Content based module. The Images and Documents module is Generic Content based too. The provider for this module is defined in section <providers> in the web.config file. By default it should be Libraries.

When I put the Libraries in the ProviderName, I got the following error message. "The file '/Web/Sitefinity/ControlTemplates/Libraries/TagsList.ascx' doesn't exist.". I then try to copy the TagsList.ascx from the News folder and compile and I got the following compile error.

    - The resource object with key 'DisplayAs' was not found.
    - The resource object with key 'Cloud' was not found.
    - The resource object with key 'List' was not found.

I guess the local resource file is not in the App_LocalResources folder either. I copy it from the Generic_Content again, Compile and it works this time. I think this may be a bug of missing Tag control files in the Libraries folder.

I got it working now. Thanks for your quick response.

    Ken.

    Hi Alisha,

    Thank you for your feedback.

This issue is related to 3.5 SP I guess. From 3.6 all templates are embedded, so they have to be mapped.

Let us know if there is anything else that we can do for you.
