    Hey,
I get this errow when i try to open the flv file in the shadowbox jw player.
If I specify the physical file with extension .flv it works fine. If i upload the file using the image and documents module. it breaks up with error "this playlist is not a valid xml file".

    Hello Siddesh Kapadi,

There is a  syntax error is in the code you use or the code does not recognize sflb.ashx extension and you should use the "real file extension" or add "sflb.ashx" support in the shadowbox script.

    Hey Ivan,
I just change the NavigateUrl of Hyperlink from library file to physical file, it just works fine. So code error is ruled out.

Have added the support for ashx file in the shadowbox.js file, hence it gives me the error of invalid Xml.

Please suggest me some solution to get this working may be with a code sample.

    Regards,
    Siddesh Kapadi

    Hey,
Its been a week since this has been posted. But no response from the admins neither from any other members.

I think this is a massive drawback of having to store the files as binary in database. Please request the developers of sitefinity to work out a better solution for next release.

    Siddesh Kapadi

    Hi Siddesh Kapadi,

There are options to store files to the file system - How to enable files provider. Also, you can use real extension of the files or filter content item by extension . Each file could be easily stored to the file system -Save Images from the Images and Documents module back to the file system  and referenced from there.
As you can see there are built-in and custom options that we have provided to store your items on the file system or to the database.
