    From the great webinar i have learned how to add controls to the system via the toolbox in page edit mode.

    How do you remove them?

    search the config file for the ASCX you uploaded and you can just delete/comment that line out
    You still need to physically remove the files though. (in the user controls directory)

    Hello Andrew,

    To remove user controls from the toolbox you, just have to remove their declarations in the web.config. For example if you have added a custom control named My Custom Control, when you open your web.config file and go to <toolboxControls> you will see it declared like this:
    <add name="My Custom Control" section="Custom Controls" url="~/UserControls/Custom_Controls/MyCustomControl.ascx" />

    Now you just have to remove that line and the control will be removed from the toolbox. If you want to add it again, you just have to put back this line.

    If you want to hide controls that are built in Sitefinity, the approach is a little bit different. You can see how to do it here.

    Sincerely yours,
    Rado
