    Hey guys / gals,

I am extremely new to SiteFinity and have to say I am quite impressed.  That being said, I have come across a very annoying bug with regards to the setup I have on my development machine.

My company has purchased SiteFinity 3 (version 3.7) and the "Ultimate Telerik Collection For .NET" package that contains the RadControls and so on (the latest release).

I have installed the packages from the "Ultimate Collection" and then proceed to follow the instructions located here to open the SiteFinity installation in Visual Studio and then things go haywire...

Once the SiteFinity is fully open in Visual Studio, I navigate to the sites URL and receive this error:

Could not load file or assembly 'Telerik.Web.UI, Version=2010.1.309.35, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=121fae78165ba3d4' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

It turns out, Visual Studio is copying a newer version of the following files to the sites BIN folder automatically:
    - Telerik.Web.Design.dll
    - Telerik.Web.UI.dll

Has anyone ever seen this before, and Is there any resolution to this problem?

    Hello Andrew Hyslop,

Check your project references and make sure that the dlls are loaded from your bin. Most probably there is  set "Auto Update" in Visual Studio. You could refer to this post Visual Studio Stop Auto Update on References
