We need to be able to allow the user to select a Country and save the selection as a cookie (upon request).  The content for these worldwide sites must be able to be kept separate than the main USA site.  Different countries might not be running the same ad campaign so, we must be able to easily manage all ad spots.

How it is better to realize this functionality on the basis of yours CMS?

    Hello Anton,

You could develop a user control that represents a drop-down menu for example, which holds the different countries. This control should be able to check for existing cookie set, or set a new one upon country selection. There are 2 scenarios here :
    1) If our visitor is "return visitor", the control reads the cookie.
    2) If the visitor is new, he makes his choice and a cookie is being set on his computer.
    3) Depending on the cookie value, or the user's choice, the visitor is being redirected to the specific section of the site.
You are able to create multilingual content web sites with PathPrefix option, which means that your language-dependent pages could be found in URLs like this for example:
    English Version :  http://youpage.com/en/welcome.aspx
    German Version : http://yourpage.com/de/welcome.aspx

If you want to learn how to built sites with multilingual content, please refer to the Sitefinity User Manual,  section "Multilingual Content Management".

I hope you find this helpful.

    Best wishes,

    Hello, Georgi.

    Thanks.

It is possible create roles in which we can to set permissions considering localization?
    Ex:
Editor En (Edit only En content)
Editor De (Edit only De content)

    Hello Anton,

Unfortunately, for the current version it is not possible to divide the content in our modules and provide different permissions. However, you could create a custom module in which permissions and roles are managed, providing more robust settings, but it won't be easy. We are planning to introduce permissions per content category as well as some other extras in the next version 4.0. So in the long term, it would be easy to divide content by language into categories and grant different permissions.

    Best wishes,
    Yasen
