    Hi

We have transferred both site and backend sql server db to a new server. The source SQL Server was 2008 and the destination SQL Server is 2012. Problem is now when we run the site with the db copied onto SQL Server 2012 we get the error below at the end. What is the problem and how can we fix it?

    Thanks

    Regards

    Yahya

Telerik  people.... please, please, please just share the answers.

Now I have to waste time opening a support ticket, for the same exact problem.

I completely agree with kahuna. And Telerik needs to spend time on this again as well.

Telerik, what about letting the thread owner mark posts as the answer and granting some Telerik points to the one who answered? We'll all be winners!

    Hello,

The error comes up when using older versions of Sitefinity ( everything before 5.0 ) with the latest SQL server - 2012, which is appears to be incompatible with Sitefinity 4.4 and the versions before that.  My colleague Pavel discussed the problem as well here:

    http://www.sitefinity.com/developer-network/forums/general-discussions-/sqldriver-not-initialized-with-server-version

There is a KB article, relating to older versions ( <4.2 ) of Sitefinity as well:

@Arno: The thread owner has the permission to mark a specific post as an answer.
