    Hello,

I'm working on a custom widget for a client of ours. I've made a new widget designer using sitefinity thunder and manually made a dropdown list with the options that are supposed to be chosen.

The word as displayed in the designer:

And the word as displayed in the backend of the widget:

Since our widget relies on the excact same word as the title of a classification this causes the widget to crash.

I've already added the following line to our webconfig:

    Hey Rick,

Try using ü instead of 'ü'.

That will always avoid any enconding issues between UTF-8 or ISO8859 and makes sure that you don't run into any sql collation issues.

Thanks for your answer! I have no idea why I didn't think of that myself :)
