SiteFinity Login Page Blank

As the title says, in our local development environment we are currently developing a set of classic mode MVC pages and have not done too much customization in the admin section yet.  We backed up the database that was originally created with our project when it was stable and still working as expected.  Somewhere along the way, even though we have not messed with the admin very much, something appears to have gotten messed up.

Can someone shed some light as to where I can even begin looking to fix this?

Hello Mike,

It is really a strange issue. Can you please send the error logs under ~/App_Data/Sitefinity/Logs folder. This may give us details on what might be causing the issue.

It will be also great help if you can share any additional information on what have been the changes you have made before the issue to appear. Can you please also inspect the browser's console and let me know if there are any errors logged there.

Regards,

Was this issue ever resolved?  I'm having the same problem with the blank page.

Looks like my error logs haven't been updated for a few days.

I'm seeing the same issue on one of my test servers and haven't been able to find a workaround yet.  When I check the logs folder it is empty.

Update:

I was finally able to get it to work.  The problem was I copied the DB from another test box because I wanted to test some changes before deploying them and when I did that the validationKey and decryptionKey in the securityConfig was no longer valid.  Since these are only test boxes and not production I just copied the data from the securityConfing over to the new test box and it worked.

Yes, the problem is with the SecurityConfig.config. The GUID's generated and stored in a sifefinity database can't be messed up with other one. Incorrect GUID's make it to display the blank.

You will be seeing the System.Security.Cryptography.CryptographicException error in log file.
