    New Controls UI:

Firstly, I love Telerik products but the UI in some of the new controls compared to the past are going in the wrong direction or is just not done yet.  Example is the Blogs Component, it is very confusing for business users.  In 3.1 the UI screens were very easy to understand, we had the key elements right out in front and made 'picking' the selections easy.  We still had access to the advanced tab for those who needed it.

The new controls, while more flexible, are something that I am very hesitant to put in front of a business person.  They do not understand terms like 'behavior' and having to know what the data provider name.

I think the goal of being user friendly may be being lost and I am not sure it is because of pressure to get something new out there asap or what.  I feel that a key and critical differentiating feature for Sitefinity is the usability for end users, but the new controls look more like something out of Visual Studio.  Hoping this is only a temporary situation.

I would have to agree with Brook.  I am perturbed that the new way of displaying Blog Posts removes the nice UI that previously made it easy to set up.  Also you can't just include posts from one blog on the control either, something that was present before in the PostList control.

I would STRONGLY suggest working on this further before pushing this as an update or just include the PostList control in the right hand menu for use until you can fine tune the new BlogPosts control to include the same functionality that the old PostList had.

To correct my previous posting, by setting the ParentID field you can select certain blogs for display.  The reason for this mistake was simply the fact that it was hard for even me to find out how to set something that was previously intuitive through the nice old blog interface.
