    Hi,

I am new to sitefinity. Can any one tell me - which are the database tables used for news module? Can I increase the character limit for my news title field?

    Thanks
    Hydo

    Hello Hydo L,

News title is a metakey and it is stored in sf_GCMetaData table. The value could not be increased, because it is defined into the data provider class. You could create an additional metakey and use it instead of the default title.

    Hi Ivan,

Could you perhaps provide some links to adding Meta fields? It might prove helpful to Hydo L.

    Regards,
    Jacques

You could take a look at our UserManual - page 214 Adding Custom Fields.
