    Hi,

    a) after creating a fourth language(fr), taking up any "fr" language page, a "FileNotFound.aspx" page is rendered with the following message

    Merci

    Also,

    b) At the admin side if a "fr" page is accessed  it redirects to login page(/fr/sitefinity/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2ffr%2fSitefinity%2fAdmin%2fDefault.aspx) which afterwards loging in is NOT ALLOWING TO LOGGING IN. But  "/en/sitefinity/login.aspx" is fine

    Please reply asap.

    Thanking You,
    siby

    Hi siby,

    Please check whether the page you are looking for exists in the current culture/language you are using. You are getting Page Not Found exception. Also make sure that you have not set any permissions of the page that prevents a user to see it.

    Sincerely yours,
    Ivan Dimitrov

    The problem is that at the admin side on selecting the language dropdownlist itself it is redirecting to login page. We can't able to edit it.

    Hello siby,

    The logout could happen if you use "DomainName" for PathPrefix in the localization node, otherwise you have some code that clear the cookie and sends you to the login form.

    Best wishes,

    Hi r u specifying "The logout could happen if you use "DomainName" for PathPrefix in the localization node"
    to check for the  web.config entry. There is no "DomainName" entry.

    There is no chance for " otherwise you have some code that clear the cookie and sends you to the login form" bcz we r using exactly the same templates(master pages) v used for other languages which is working fine.

    Hi what might be the other chances.

    Regards,
    siby

    Hello siby,

    You can increase the memory limits for your SQL database server. The problem you have is caused, becauase the login cookie is cleared or invalid.

    Hi locally we are having

         <localization defaultProvider="Sitefinity" persistenceMode="PathPrefix" allowSpecificCultures="True" defaultCulture="en" cultures="en,da,fr,sv,de">
                <providers>
                    <clear/>
                    <add name="Sitefinity" type="Telerik.Localization.Data.DefaultProvider, Telerik.Localization.Data" connectionStringName="DefaultConnection"/>
                </providers>
            </localization>

    and is working fine locally(no redirect to login for french).

    Right now  we are having no idea this part is updated at the live server.

    Is there any chance that the current license at the live is indirectly causing the problem of redirecting to login on selecting french language dropdown.

    Thanking You,
    siby

    Hello siby,

    The license file could not be a reason for this issue. You application pool gets recycled or you are clearing the authentication cookie manually.

    we checked at the live all the other languages by selecting the language  drop down list, all are fine except french being redirected to "fr/sitefinity/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2ffr%2fsitefinity%2fAdmin%2fPages.aspx"

    One curious problem noticed is in that page(log in page), instead of the site name near to "Sitefinity Logo" the text "fr"

    is coming for the live site, but the proper name(site name) is coming for it locally. What might be the problem. thatz why I had a doubt if its the license related issues that is causing this.

    Thanking You,
    siby

    Hi siby,

    If the project name is not set in the web.cofig <cms> node we set the name depending on HttpContext.Current.Request.Url.Host; It looks like that you are altering the host somehow which invalidates the authentication cookie for the current request.

    Kind regards,

    Hi we checked the code for the french master page and is exactly the same as we used for the other languages(which are fine). We just uploaded the master pages and after that try to create pages for french by selecting french language from the drop down list that time it redirects to the login page (with 'fr' in the url for the login page).

    At local its fine and is happening at th live.

    Thanking You,
    siby

    Also not only it goes to login page , but after loging in from that page always "Your login attempt was not successful. Please try again." err is happening(from fr/sitefinity/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2ffr%2fsitefinity%2fAdmin%2fDefault.aspx) which is not happening for normal login page(Sitefinity/Login.aspx)

    Hi siby,

    Could you add the following code inside Sitefinity/Login.aspx and check the provider that is used to authenticate your user?

    void Login1_Authenticate(object sender, AuthenticateEventArgs e)
        {
           var providerName = Membership.Provider.Name;
              var p =  Login1.MembershipProvider;
           var checkForUser = Membership.Providers[providerName].GetUser(this.Login1.UserName, false);
           if (checkForUser != null)
           {
               var nameofUser = checkForUser.UserName;
                   Response.Write(nameofUser);
           }

            //e.Authenticated = UserManager.Default.ValidateUser(this.Login1.UserName, this.Login1.Password);
        }

    Hi we just uploaded the code and printed the "providerName"  and found that  for  the  login screen rendered  after the  drop down selection for french  its not  displaying  the name ..and for all the  others(de/sitefinity/login.aspx or da/sitefinity/login.aspx)  its  displayed as  "Sitefinity"

    Please reply asap.

    Hello siby,

    I am not able to reproduce this issue and I do not see how the defined membership provider could be changed based on the culture if you are not doing this explicitly. If you want you can send us a sample project that we will check locally. You can use the support system where the file attachment is limited to 20 MB or send me a live link/FTP from where I can download your project.

    Hi thank you for your reply. That way also we will try.

    One more doubt, normally we add fr(culture) to the localization tag in the web.config, is there any chance that we need to provide fr-fr(specific culture ) due to the server configurations(including the web server and sql server ), bcz we have no idea about the live server  configurations. Am telling this bcz we have the server code here locally, there is no such issue(redirecting to fr login page and fr login page not accepting a valid log in credentials), also any other way the server configurations can indirectly show such an issue.

    Thanking You,
    siby

    Hi siby,

    Check whether you are setting the globalization element in the web server config file. I am also not familiar with your server configuration, so it is hard to tell you what is causing this issue.

    Hi siby,

    Please take a look at MSDN. Since the issue does not occur on your local server the problem is related to your server configuration and this affects Sitefinity. Our code does not clear the authentication cookie when you switch the language as I described several times in my  replies.
