    Hi Georgi,

As we have discussed earlier in below thread

    http://www.sitefinity.com/support/forums/sitefinity-3-x/general-discussions/how-to-play-flv-files-in-3-6.aspx

In that i am getting Icontent URL  as a filename and passing to a embedded flash player.

Since i tried by giving title of the video in English letters (ie. src="/Flash/videoPlayer.swf?filename=/Libraries/Video Library/test.sflb"), its working

But if i try to give the title in Arabic letters
(ie. src="/Flash/videoPlayer.swf?filename=/Libraries/Video Library/في هذا القسم.sflb"), it is not working.

Could you please tell us how to change the file name title to some other like date.
    or
    Please give us some suggestions.

    Thanks,
    Karnan

    Hi karnan sekar,

Although that Sitefinity allows you such file names, not all applications will accept it. The reason for this is that the special characters should be encoded. Everything that goes beyond the latin characters is usually encoded.

That is why I suggest you to add a new metafield to the libraries section. Name it for example "original_title". You should use it for the Arabic title, while keeping the original Title field for latin character title, which is forming the URL later.

You can find more information about the metafields in the User Manual.

    Kind regards,
    Georgi
