Can i still buy a license for the 3.7 version of sitefinity?

We have a client with an existing sitefinity site that they enjoy (lets call it CompanyA.com)

They're changing their company over and is now called CompanyB.com

They understand that a new license is required.

How can i go about this?  They are not interested in sitefinity 4.0 at this time

Be prepared to pay Sitefinity 4.0 prices for 3.x now. We found this out the hard way, they wouldn't even give us a break when we told them that the application we needed a license for was still in development before SI 4.0 was released. We actually had quite a few sites in 3.x development but even with this, the normal $899 is now $2k.. Sucks when you have project budgets, but Telerik didn't seem to give a $#$@#.

    Hello Chris,

Thanks for getting back to us!

Our new pricing and licensing policy was announced on November, 11th 2010. Thereafter we provided 2 months grace period (until January, 13th 2010) for our clients to take advantage of our old pricing and get Sitefinity 3.7 (upgradable for free to Sitefinity 4.0 Standard Edition) at $899, even though the 4.0 Standard Edition alone costs $1999. We are at the opinion that this was a fair time frame for our customers. Please also note that the 3.7 version is officially no longer for sale. We still make exceptions though, as you have correctly observed, and provide them with 3.7 licenses at the price of Sitefinity 4.0 Standard Edition (they will have both 3.7 and 4.0 Standard Edition license).

    Best wishes,
    the Telerik team

Well crap. I got a "templated" site I've been distributing to a customers retailers geting a license when a new one is activated. This kinda puts me in a tough spot. The whole idea kinda goes down the crapper if I have to redo everything in Sf4.

I guess I will have to think of something.

    Hey Andreas,

I would recommend dropping an e-mail to our sales managers at sales@sitefinity.com . We always try walking in our customers' shoes and are willing to come up with a custom solution that would meet your requirements. You can share with us what the specifics of your model are and we could come up with a good solution.

    All the best,
