    Hi,

We have already setup our website application. We need to use some module with CMS. Like User registration Process.

is it possible to map our Sql Server database and sitefinity database. Beacause after successful registration the user need to get information from our sql server database.

Please advice my how can I do this?

    Any Possible solution?

    Thanks in advanced.

    Hi Terrence,

    Options
    1. You can migrate the data tables from your database to Sitefinity's database.
    2. Add a connection string to your custom database to fetch some data.

We have similar scenario, where we already have working website using MS SQL 2005  and are working on migrating the website to Sitefinity.

Are there any pros and cons that you can point out, in chooseing option 1 vs option 2 above?

i.e. migrating data tables from custom databse to Sitefinity's native database Vs changing connection string to fetch data from custom database?

    Thanks

    Hi Rajesh,

When you have a  single database storage and you do not have to maintain 2 servers. The entire project data is in a single place.
