I created the dll in a full trust environment and copied it over.  I verified that the web.config and the sf_Notif_SMTPSetting table had the correct smtp information.  When I try to send an email through the newsletter module it fails with the following error:  Inappropriate Trust Level.  I can't find that error anywhere in the source code and a search of google and specifically the sitefinity site returns nothing.  Has anyone come across this problem before?  This site is running in a medium trust, share hosting environment at GoDaddy.  I've contacted support and submitted a ticket but the problem persists.

    Hello Geremy Ferguson,

We've sent you a response in the support thread as well, but, can you show us the full error message? Do you have <trust> section in your web.config?

I've replied to the support ticket but, for the sake of anyone else having the issue, I don't currently have a trust element in the web.config.  When I put it in I get the error below:

This configuration section cannot be used at this path.  This happens when the site administrator has locked access to this section using <location allowOverride="false"> from an inherited configuration file.

    Hi Geremy Ferguson,

The error is thrown because your host does not allow adding Trust element in a project web.confog file. This is a server side setting that cannot be changed. We get back to your support request.

    All the best,

For the sake of anyone else having the same issue I'll keep my responses here instead of the support ticket...

I just spent 45 minutes on the phone with GoDaddy and no one could tell me the configuration of the IPermission node in the config.  The only thing they ultimately did was provide a link here (http://help.godaddy.com/article/1039) that explains the general limitations of medium trust.  This is a standard shared hosting account with nothing extra so I'm assuming this means that the Newsletter Module is not supported on GoDaddy shared hosting.  If this is incorrect, please let me know.  If anyone out there can successfully send a newsletter from a GoDaddy shared hosting account I'm anxious to hear from you.  I'm hoping to get a definitive answer on this by the weekend so we can decide if we need to change hosting providers or CMS systems.

    Hi Geremy Ferguson,

The Newsletters module work if your host supports the default configuration for Medium Trust level. The only problem that you may have is related to setting the SMTP through backend interface.
