    Hello Eric,

The control caches. Try restarting the application or remove the control from the page then add it again. It is possible that some old items have been left into the cache of the control.

    Hello

I am using the Categories Tree to display news items.

My problem is that the counter includes expired news - so when I click a category, that appears to have 5 items it might have none.

Is there a setting for not counting expired items?

    Regards, Dennis

    Hello Dennis,

If the cache has not been cleared, then you could see 5 items in a category. The control gets the categories number based on the news items, so the control does not set the count based on the categories number. Here the main object is a NewsItem. If we stop or disable the caching this will result in performance issues when you open this page.
