Hi all. Im fairly to sitefinity. My company purchased a sitefinity license (Sitefinity Standard Edition Domain License v3.x). We have a hosting service that supports Sitefinity Community Edition. Can i deploy our sitefinity website there with the license we have or i have to look for another hosting plan with the Standard Edition? Thanks in adv.

    Hello Kofo,

The differences between Standard and Community Edition are

    - Workflow - requires full trust level
    - Localization
    - Health Monitoring - requires full trust level

If you want to use Workflow and Health monitoring then you need a plan that runs over full trust level.

    Kind regards,

Thanks. The main issue im having is i don't know if i can host my site with them cos they tell me the community edition would place the sitefinity logo on all my site pages. Can i still upload my site with them using my standard editioin license?

    Hi Kofo,

If you have a standard edition license you can still upload it with your hoster. You just have to mind if the environment is full trust or medium trust and make necessary changes if it is medium trust.

Please note that if you have built your website with CE but later on you have decided to purchase a SE license you will have to upgrade the website so that it uses Sitefinity Standard Edition. The upgrade procedure is the same as the regular upgrade. You have to apply a Sitefinity Standard Edition upgrade patch.

    Sincerely yours,
