    Hi guys,

    We have implemented a community site using trial for Sitefinity Standard Edition. What we should do in order to make it community edition, so that the trial page will not show any more? Just copy the assemblies?

    Hello Stefan,

    What you need to do is apply a Community patch to the installation. If you have any problems, please let us know.

    Hi Roman,

    This is quite easy actually. If you have installed the Community edition, all you need to do is copy the bin and the Sitefinity folders from the installation to the project created with Sitefinity Standard edition. You can copy them form the following location if you haven’t changed the default installation settings and your system drive is C:
    C:\Program Files\telerik\Sitefinity3.1 Community\ProjectManager\EmptyProject.

    If you haven't installed the SiteFinity_3_1_SP2_community.exe, and you only have the Standard edition installed on your machine, you can apply this patch:
    SiteFinity_3_1_SP2_community_patch_1473.zip from your Client.net account > section Downloads.
    This is an archive that contains
    only two folders:
    - bin folder - contains the .dll files;
    - Sitefinity folder - contains the files that make up the public controls’ interfaces and their   templates, as well as the administrative part of Sitefinity.

    To update the project created with the Standard edition, you only need to replace these two folders in the \WebSites\[YourProject] folder. To ensure that future projects also contain the latest updates, you need to replace the bin and Sitefinity folders in this folder:
    C:\Program Files\telerik\Sitefinity3.x\ProjectManager\EmptyProject.

    For more details and version-specific changes you need to make in the application Web.config file, please refer to Upgrade Instructions.

    Regards,

    Rebecca
