    Hello,

How can I make sure any default content inside of a contentplaceholder is removed if any controls/content are added to the corresponding content control using Sitefinity?

    In masterpage:
    <asp:ContentPlaceHolder id="ContentPlaceHolder1" runat="server">Some default text</asp:ContentPlaceHolder>

If I drag a generic content control or any other control on to a new page using the masterpage below, the default content is always added and not removed as you see with normal masterpage/child page in Visual Studio.

    Thank You!

    Hi JOHN STRUCHYNSKI,

Thank you for using our services.

Unfortunately what you are asking can not be achieved in the exact same form. If you have noticed when you put some default text in between the content placeholder tags you will lock the placeholder for editing from the page editor. Therefore you will not be able to put controls in empty placeholders when you create/edit a page, or edit a template.

I hope that I have understood your question correctly. If  you have more questions, please feel free to contact us.

    Regards,
