    Hi,

I upgraded a site from 3.5 SP1 to 3.6, all functionality seems to be working, EXCEPT:
    - comments link not visible anymore under modules->events

Adding the allowComments="false" to the web.config like the entry below

            <add name="Events" urlRewriteFormat="[Publication_Date]/[Title].aspx" urlDateTimeFormat="yy-MM-dd" urlWhitespaceChar="_" visible="False" defaultMetaField="Title" securityProviderName="" allowVersioning="True" applicationName="/Events" versioningProviderName="" allowComments="true" commentsModeration="true" connectionStringName="GenericContentConnection" type="Telerik.Events.Data.DefaultEventsProvider, Telerik.Events.Data"/>

Does add the comments link back to modules->events but unfortunately does not work and produces the following error:

    Server Error in '/' Application.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

    Hi Georgi,

The hotfix, allows the comments to be managed from the admin area, BUT...

the comments are NOT visible at all in the public area (display mode = ExpandedList)

Please advice on how to solve this.

    Hello Patrick,

We have logged this as a bug. We updated your account with Telerik points. Unfortunately, there is no temporarily fix that I could come up. Generally, the problem is related to the validation of the fields when trying to submit a comment. It could be removed, but it is not a solution.

    Hi,
Did this problem get resolved?  We would like to use comments on events.

    Thanks

    Hello ,

The problem has been resolved. The comments work under Sitefinity 3.6 build 1927 ( the last release 3.6 SP1 Hotfix)

Let us know if there is anything else that we can do for you.

    Best wishes,
