Is there a way to exclude expired stories from search results? The expiration is working well for the content pages, but expired content is still appearing in search results, even after daily re-indexing.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi Taylor,

Can you please make sure that the Indexer that is created for News, Blogs, etc., has the Auto-Indexing set to True? You may also try to manually re-index the web site and see if the results still contain these stories?

    All the best,

    Hi Georgi,

Yes, the autoindexer is set to true, and the site last indexed this morning.

    I also manually indexed.

    Hi Georgi,

Been doing some digging, I'm thinking I need to implement a custom search results control, then do the filtering there? Is there a downloadable template for the Search Results control?

    Thanks,

    Taylor

    Hi Taylor,

The templates are located inside Sitefinity/ControlTemplates/Search. The better option is using a custom control that inherits from SearchResult. Another option is getting the ResultItem from the Repeater control that is declared inside SearchResult.ascx control template and make filtering.

    Best wishes,
