    Hello cybertiger,

    You could map the external template - LibraryitemBatchEdit.ascx and uncomment the line below. This will allow you to use common categories for the items that are displayed on a single page. If you want to set different category for each item, you have to create a new metakey and  add RadComboBox control inside the ContentMetaFields where all other metakey resited. The RadComboBox control should have the same ID as the name of the metakey you have already created. Then you need to populate the combo manually by calling GetCategories method of ContentManager class. You can set/get categories using GetMetaData and SetMetaData methods of IContent object( each image or document )

    Hello cybertiger,

    The website could not be down if you have mapped the template and uncomment highlighted lines.

    <div class="setIn batchtags">
                    <asp:Label runat="server" AssociatedControlID="commonCategories" Text="<%$Resources:Category %>"></asp:Label>
                    <sf:CategoriesField ID="commonCategories" runat="server" />
                    <sf:ContentTagEditor ID="commonTags" runat="server" />
                </div>

    The changes made the Telerik.Sitefinity.Configuration.ControlsConfig.xml applies after application restart. Make sure that the configuration file is well formed.

    Kind regards,
