    When editing an image in a page, the image propreties dialog has a preserve aspect ratio gadget - looks like a couple of plugs that plug together when you click on it. The default is for it to be "unplugged", is there anyway to make the default so that it is "plugged"?

    Hi Elizabeth,

    Please add the attached file to a folder on your web site (~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/CustomEditorDialogs for example). Then make the controls that use rad editor use external templates and set the following property in the rad editor:
    <telerik:RadEditor
              runat="server"
              ID="textEditor"
              ...
              ExternalDialogsPath="~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/CustomEditorDialogs">

    This should do the trick.

    What needs to be edited for the rad editor for generic content?

    Hello Elizabeth,

    See above post, you should add the highlighted text and map the templates.

    Map which templates for the geneic content? Do I need to use external templates for the generic content?

    If so, this will probably be more steps than we want to do just to make the aspect ratio "plugged".

    Hello Elizabeth,

    You should use external templates and edit the GenericContentDesigner.ascx, ContentNewView.ascx, and ContentEditView.ascx located in ~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/Generic_Content. Then map them in the ~/App_Data/Configuration/Telerik.Sitefinity.Configuration.ControlsConfig.xml with:
    <viewSettings hostType="Telerik.Cms.Engine.WebControls.Design.GenericContentDesigner" layoutTemplatePath="~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/Generic_Content/GenericContentDesigner.ascx" />
    <!--Provides user interface for editing a content item in the Generic Content module.-->
    <viewSettings hostType="Telerik.Cms.Engine.WebControls.Admin.ContentItemEdit`1[[Telerik.Cms.Engine.WebControls.Admin.ContentItemsView, Telerik.Cms.Engine]]" layoutTemplatePath="~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/Generic_Content/ContentEditView.ascx" />
    <!--Provides user interface for adding a new content item in the Generic Content module.-->
    <viewSettings hostType="Telerik.Cms.Engine.WebControls.Admin.ContentItemNew`1[[Telerik.Cms.Engine.WebControls.Admin.ContentItemsView, Telerik.Cms.Engine]]" layoutTemplatePath="~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/Generic_Content/ContentNewView.ascx" />

    Lastly restart the website.

    If you do not have the files you should download the External Templates archive for your Client.Net account.
