I just took over a sitefinity 3.7 site and when I create a new module, it appears on the module menu, however the prior modules are gone. Then there are times that my new module is not appearing and the olds one are.

What would be causing that and how can I fix it?

(this 3.7 site is not able to upgrade to 4)

    Hello NuToSitefinity,

There must be an error that stops the module initialization. Please check the log file -sitefinity.log under App_Data folder. It would be better if you clear the log before you try to replicate the issue.

    Kind regards,

its interesting because, once I close VS 2010 down and open it back up my new module appears on the module menu. I'm not sure its a Sitefinity issue or not because I had the same issue on one of my .net sites were it wasn't taken in the dll changes until i closed VS down.

I think it may be a bug in VS 2010
