    Hi,

    In the toolbox there is a "manage profile" control but where can I find the actual control in VS?

    Cheers

    Hello Johnny,

    ManageProfile control is embedded into Telerik.Security.dll. The control namespace is Telerik.Security.WebControls.ManageProfile.

    Hello Ivan,

    Ok I see. What is the best way to extend the control?

    Hello Johnny,

    You could inherit from Telerik.Security.WebControls.ManageProfile and override some of its methods, but it really depends on what you want to achieve. You could take a look at the class methods and properties in our API reference.

    Hi

    In code

    /// <summary>
    /// ManageProfile control.
    /// </summary>
    /// <remarks>
    /// Auto-generated field.
    /// To modify move field declaration from designer file to code-behind file.
    /// </remarks>
    protected global::Telerik.Security.WebControls.ManageProfile ManageProfile;

    I'm getting the error;

    The type or namespace name 'Security' does not exist in the namespace
    'Telerik'

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

    Regards

    Hello John01,

    If you use Sitefinity 3.x as a web application ( which is not supported by default), please make sure that you have enabled the profile support as described in this post.

    Kind regards,

    Hi ,

    ManageProfile does not exist in Sitefinity 4.0. You have to use ProfileManager instance and its methods.
