    Is this possible?  I have a client who has a couple blogs on Wordpress and we are rebuilding their site on the SiteFinity platform.  They would like to be able to manage all of their blogs in one place, which would be SiteFinity.

    Is there a process to migrate all of the existing Wordpress data into the SiteFinity blog platform?

    Thanks.

    Edit:  I finally came across another post asking the same question and was given the unfortunate answer.  Thank you.

    Hello Chris,

    You have to use Forums API to do this. You can expose some web services or RSS readers to the WP forum to retrieve as much data as you can. There is no built-in tool that will do this.

    Thank you for the reply.

    But you mentioned the Forums API.  I am trying to import the WordPress data into a Blog.  Is there a Blog API, as well?  I don't see one in the developer manual.

    I'm using SiteFinity version 3.7.

    Hi Ivan,

    Can you please tell me if moving our blog from WordPress to Sitefinity will affect SEO?

    Thanks,
    Jason

    Hi jason,

    The blogs provider has an attribute -  urlRewriteFormat which specifies the url format that is generated by a blog post. You can control the attribute value from the web.config - cmsEngine/Blogs provider

    urlRewriteFormat="[Publication_Date]/[Title].aspx"

    which will allow you to make the old urls almost unchanged.. You should also change the urlWhitespaceChar which is set to underscore. I think the default char for wordpress is dash. So
