Is Telerik planning on integrating this as its data access foundation:

    http://www.telerik.com/products/orm.aspx

Looks pretty slick, I'm definitely going to look into it further ~ would be nice to know if this is what Telerik plans to use in Sitefinity moving forward as I would be willing to spend a lot more time learning your ORM solution if it is going to be.

I currently have been using Codesmith/Nettiers for my DAL layer on custom module development, but might be willing to switch depending on what moves I see your team make.

On a side note, building out my data architecture in code and then pushing that to the database (instead of reverse) is a huge turn on and I'm excited to see what it can do.

    Hi Joel,

Yes, we are definitely going to change Nolics with OpenAccess ORM. We will migrate all APIs and will introduce a new set as well with Sitefinity 4.0. All existing functionality will be kept, but we will use OpenAccess. We also expect a greater performance with the new ORM. Again, this change is going to happen in Sitefinity 4.0.

    Sincerely yours,
    Georgi

    Hi,

Is the Telerik ORM integrated with SiteFinity? Can we use the ORM inside SiteFinity user controls?

    Thanks

    Hi Agent,

OpenAccess ORM is still not integrated in Sitefinity, but we are working on this. We will introduce it with Sitefinity 4.0 next year, and you will be able to use it in your controls.
