Hi, I'm considering Sitefinity for a gaming website and want to ask a few questions.

Any info you can provide would be great.

    1. How easy/difficult is it to embed an existing Silverlight application onto a Sitefinity "page".
    2. Can I use Silverlight 3's Navigation/Deep Linking functionality within Sitefinity?
    3. How easy/difficult is it to put Adsense ads on my pages hosted within Sitefinity?

    Thanks,

    Jeff Weber

    Hi Jeff Weber,

Thank you for your interest in our CMS.
Here are the answers to your questions:

    1. How easy/difficult is it to embed an existing Silverlight application onto a Sitefinity "page".
There is a special Asp.Net control which hosts your application in it. Then you can use the Asp.Net control as any other controls in Sitefinity - just drag and drop it on the page. Once you have the Silverlight application, you can use it in to time with Sitefinity. Here is an example with the <asp:Silverlight> control - http://forums.asp.net/t/1343281.aspx

    2. Can I use Silverlight 3's Navigation/Deep Linking functionality within Sitefinity?
Yes, in the same way as the example shows in question 1.

    3. How easy/difficult is it to put Adsense ads on my pages hosted within Sitefinity?
It is just as in any html page. You can place the AdSense code in any of the mater pages (that is the templates that your pages are using) or directly in your content items (there is html view, in which you can place the javascript/html code). You can also create a user control which can be dragged and dropped on the pages. The control itself will contain the AdSense code.

Let me know if you need any further information. I will be glad to help you.

    Sincerely yours,
    Georgi

    Hi,

I'm probably a bit confused with the Sitefinity Banner Ads Module and I need some clarification. Using the Banner Ads Module I would like to be able to add dynamic javascript ads (ie. <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ad.trafficmp.com/a/js?plid=16859"></script>) but the module only has certain options and none of them seem to indicate it should be used with Javascript.

Clicking on the "Add Banner Ad" shows the fields: Title, Ad Image, Ad Type, Click URL, Allowed Impressions, is Active, and Zip Code. None of which (I think) can accommodate custom javascript code like the mentioned above. I need to have the standard banner rotating in my site but I also need to add come ads for which the image and click URL will be provided in the dynamic javascript. How can I accomplish this?

    Hello Martin,

Thank you for getting back to us.

This module is not a module built by Telerik. Please contact the guys who implemented it and ask them to add another text field to the module, those value will be entered through RadEditor. Then you will  be able to add javascript through the RadEditor and make it execute on the live page.

    Kind regards,
