    Hi,
I have installed Sitefinity on Discountasp.net for a new project. When logged in and editing the site it automatically logs out. This happens frequently and is quite frustrating.
    Any suggestions would be great.

    Hello B,

Most probably the account you use does not have enough application pool memory. When you make requests you reach the maximum allowed memory for your application pool which causes recycling and the session is lost. Generally discountasp.net has a special plan for Sitefinity with isolated application pool.

    I hope this helps.

    Best wishes,

    Ivan,
Hi. When I asked DiscountASP.net about the application pool they responded with the following:

We can migrate your account to a Windows 2008 /IIS 7 server. Migration includes moving your files, updating DNS, etc., but any configuration (directories set as application root, etc.) will not carry over, so you should assume that some adjustments will have to be made post-migration. According to Microsoft's IIS team, most ASP applications should work on both IIS 6 and IIS 7. But it is important to note that some ASP.NET applications may need modifications before they will work properly on IIS 7.

If you have NOT tested your current site in Windows 2008 /IIS 7 we do not recommend migration until you have had a chance to test the effects of the migration.

If you wish to proceed, please go to:  https://my.discountasp.net/windows2008-migration.aspx

    to begin the migration.

Does Sitefinity support Win2008 and IIS7?
If it does what do we need to consider when upgrading?
    Thanks
    Brad

    Hello B,

We support Windows  2008 and IIS7. There are no special steps related to the project deployment. The procedure is the same for each platform. There is a difference only when you install the Project Manager on localhost.
