I found a couple posts about this, but I don't think the solution (if there was one) was ever posted.

If I try to use the following two URLs, the first will work, but the second will not. Is there a way to ensure URLs ending with a trailing slash will resolve?

    Hello Matthew Snyder,

If you have enabled extensionless urs, make sure that the project application pool is running under Integrated Managed Pipeline mode. There could be a problem if you are using Classic mode.

The managed pipeline mode setting is currently set to integrated. Here is a specific example of the problem we are experiencing...

Do you know anything else I can do to solve this issue?

    Hello Matthew Snyder,

Please take a look at Sitefinity's UserManual, section Extensionless URLs.
Possible reasons for this error are:

-Wrong setting of IIS for extensionless urls.
-there is a something else on the website that misleads the url parser.

sf404 should be configured in IIS as Error page/WildcardMapping or in the web.config as custom error.  This is the correct setup.

I am not able to reproduce the issue locally.

    Kind regards,
    Ivan Dimitrov
