    Dear Telerik Team,

we should build a german Website based on Sitefinity. This Website should go live around the 15. November. Our customer ask us whats about a german Admin Interface.
We have read about that Sitefinity 4 should support a multilanguage Admin Backend. When did Telerik release Sitefinity 4 and is it possible to upgrade an existend Sitefinity 3.x Version License to a Sitefinity 4 License for free? If not which model exist to upgrade a 3.x License?

We known about to translate the most of the Backend, but the Resources of some/all Modules must be recompiled with the new language. Do you know if there exist any language files for sitefinity and modules?

    Best regards

    Hi Marek ,

Sitefinity 3.x supports multilingual backend. Sitefinity 4.0 will be release 2010, but there is no certain date yet. The translation process for 4.0 versions will be different from this one for 3.x and we will not use compiled resources. All projects developed or upgraded to 3.7 can be converted to 4.0.

Currently we could send you not compiled localization resources in English that you can translate to any language, then you should return the resources to us. Afterwords we will compile all resources and send the generated dlls to you.

    Greetings,

    Hi Ivan,

because of the big effort we don't have the ability to translate the whole cms and its modules in german. Are there any German translations available for the CMS and/or some/all modules?

    Best regards

    Hi Marek ,

Unfortunately we do not have localization resources translated in German yet. It seems that the only options are either to wait till the official release or to translate the resources.

We are sorry that could not be of much help, but look forward to your decision.

    Greetings,
    Georgi
