Does sitefinity support Windows 2008 server iis7 and 64bit?

If  not, what is the timeline for support?

    If so, any caveats?

    Hi Patrick,

There's no problem to use Windows 2008 server IIS7 and 64bit. Once IIS7 is configured properly, everything should be fine. The only thing that can cause problems (that's only with the Sitefinity Project Manager or http://localhost/telerik/Sitefinity3.x/Default.aspx ) is the User Account Control. Also, one shouldn't forget to enable 32-bit applications from the Advanced properties tab for the application pool.

The configuration instructions are the same as those for Windows Vista, so you could check section Installation and Deploymet > Installing Sitefinity under Windows Vista of our User Manual.

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

    All the best, Rebecca

    Hi Rebecca,

I understand that it would work in IIS7, but is it a 64bit product?  I have to integrate it with a 64bit ASP.NET web application and I have a requirement that it be a 64 bit app, not a 32 bit app that can run on a 64 bit machine.

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hello Chris,

We do not release a builds against .net framework for x64. The IIS should be configured to run 32-bit Applications on 64-bit Windows.

    Sincerely yours,

I see this post is about a year old.  I am interested to know if there are 64-bit builds for the Telerik products (ASP.NET AJAX, reporting, and OA).

    Thanks.

    Hi MWM,

Sitefinity is still provided as a 32 bit application. We are thinking if we should provide in 64 bits for 4.0 release, but we do not have a decision yet. As for the rest of the products, they are again 32 bit but work fine in 64 bit environment.

    All the best,
    Georgi

    Just touching base again,

Did you release a build for 64 bit?

    Thanks,
