    Hi,

After I installed the Sitefinity 3.7.xxx. Then I created a new project and logged in as admin. When I clicked the Administration from the menu bar I got an error "The request for procedure 'services' failed because 'services' is a view object."

and here is the sitefinity.log error

    Hi NK,

Thank you for using our services.

When you created the website and connected it to a database did you use a blank database or you have connected the website to an already existing db with tables and other db objects already existing there? Also could you please let us know what kind of DB are you using? We do have a stored procedure called Services. From the stack trace it seems that your DB has another object called Services which is a view. Sitefinity does not create any Views in your database.

    Hi,
I am using SQL 2005. This is a whole newly created DB and I just reused the Users. that was all.

When I created a new project then I pointed to that new DB.

    Thanks,

    Hi NK,

Could you please let us know how you reused the users? Also if you create a new project and do not reuse the users is this behavior reproducible?

    Hi,
The reuser of Users from Database/Security/Users. This type of user has been user in another Sitefinity project.

When I created a new DB. I allowed this reuser of User to be able to connect and login to this DB.

Do you recommen that I should create a new user in DB with new user.

    Thanks,

    Hello NK,

Now I understand what you saying. No the database user which is used to make the connection string can be re-used. You just need to verify that the user you are adding to this db has db_owner privileges over the database.

    Hi,
Yes, I do check on that:

Schemas owned by this user:    db_onwer
    Database role membership:     db_owner

    Hi NK,

I have tried to reproduce your issue several times already however to no avail. You can try out the attached project I am sending. If you reproduce the issue on this project please open a support ticket and send over the project and its database.
