    My client, a multichannel agency needs a User Experience Designer in both their San Francisco and Palo Alto locations.  This role is very heavy on info architecture (wireframes, sitemaps, etc).


    JOB SUMMARY: You are a user interface and information architecture expert.  You will be involved in the design and implementation of internet applications, mobile apps, tablet based apps, intranets, web sites, and commerce solutions for clients. You will drive the usability of all projects, by producing the visual tools that serve as blue prints for the overall information architecture and user experience. You will ensure the usability of all interactive and website applications designed by the team by creating effective screen designs that communicate client information and interaction goals to users.  You will audit client websites, research best practices, and suggest UE strategies to help clients meet their goals. 


    Job Overview:

    • Interacting with clients to solicit business requirements and translating these into a coherent and usable solutions
    • Researching and prioritizing target audience needs, to identify and define product features and functionality
    • Collaborate in the creation of Personas, Use Cases, and Task Flows that help teams focus on the user’s needs
    • Organize information and functionality in to Site Maps, Wireframes and written specifications that are technically and creatively feasible
    • Collaborate in the development of prototypes to demonstrate interactive concepts and/or facilitate usability research
    • Involved in usability research to test and iterate designs
    • Conducting competitor and current site evaluations, focusing on site usability, accessibility, and functionality issues


    Ideal Candidate Will:

    • Inherently know what makes users tick, and understand the methodological reasons to explain this behavior
    • Understand how design and technology can co-operate to create more than a sum of parts
    • Have Web knowledge/experience
    • Have Experience designing interfaces and Information Architecture for websites
    • Degree in a related field such as UI Design, Human Factors, Product Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design or Interaction Design preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience in the development of typical UI deliverables; Personas, Use Cases, Task Flows, Site Architecture, Wireframes, and Best Practices Research & Heuristics
    • Understanding of UI deliverable creation tools; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Visio
