We'd like to switch from the "Hashed" PasswordFormat currently used in the Membership Model to Clear or Encrypted.  Our desire is to implement a Single Sign-On approach with an external system so we need to be able to decrypt the passwords and/or just store in plain text.

Could you point us at a way to do this?

    Figured it out.

    1)  Edit the Web.Config and change PasswordFormat to "Clear"
Note: only seems to affect new users accounts
    2)  For existing user accounts, edit the users table and change PasswordFormat to 0 (for clear).
    3)  Upon reset of password, we could see the clear text in the field.

We're now going to try to use Encrypted, but thought we'd pass on this solution for now.
