Hi, How should I do if I want users under a role can only see "Modules" after they logged in? I mean, on general permissions page, I selected a role, for example visitor, and set CmsAccess to allow. Then I logged in as a visitor, I saw "Dashboard, pages, modules, live site" on the top menu, is there a way to hide Dashboard, pages, live site?

I tried to set CmsAcces to false, and in modules page, I set the permissions for visitor to allow the role view & modify, but the site didn't let visitors log in.

    Thanks,

    Hello li,

Thank you for using our services.

The CmsAccess permission is a global permission which lets users into the back-end. Each administrative part of Sitefinity has separate permissions which you have to configure for different roles if you want to restrict/allow administrative resource.

For pages you can set permissions to roles for individual pages or for group of pages. Note that pages have permission inheritance. This means that if you set any permissions on a page all its children will inherit them (you can break permission inheritance). If you set permissions to the All Pages sitemap node you will set permission for all your website pages.

Each module has permissions for it. When you go to the Modules section navigate to each module's Permission page to set who gets to View/Create/Modify/Delete items from this module.

The dashboard is a common page which can be seen from all users which have administrative access.

    Sincerely yours,
