    Hey there,

We have an existing site where we have enabled the approve and publish permissions, but I couldn't remember off-hand how to do this for another site so I found this document: http://www.sitefinity.com/devnet/kb/sitefinity-3-x/how-to-enable-approve-and-publish-permissions-in-modules.aspx
In this document it refers to the file ControlPanelPermissions wherein one should uncomment certain commented lines.

I searched for that file and found it in a number of places, but only where it has to do with FeedAgregator, Forums, Showcases and Testimonials. So that didn't work.

The second document on Sitefinity.com is http://www.sitefinity.com/devnet/kb/sitefinity-3-x/how-to-enable-approve-publish-permissions-in-modules-sitefinity-3-6.aspx and seems to contradict the first document since here they're saying the file to be changed is PermissionsView. Point 4 of this document has a link that no longer works. Point 5 asks you to download a phantom file. I searched for this file and found three of which none of them have those lines uncommented as mentioned in point 7.

I should point out that this particular installation that I'm checking works perfectly and looking at these two documents on Sitefinity.com I'm not sure how.

    Anyone?

    Regards,
    Jacques

    Hi J.Hoventer,

The second article you have been looking at relates to Sitefinity versions 3.6 and later, as we have changed the implementation to using embedded templates. Modifying the control templates applies only if you have those mapped for your modules. If you have not mapped the PermissionsView templates you only need to set allowWorkflow to your content providers.

    All the best,

    Hi J.Hoventer,

The file is not phantom. It can be found in your downloads section. You can see the attached template. I believe that you have previously worked with external templates.

Did you view the page that I sent?

If you look at your KB article, the points that I mentioned are missing... blank or not working.

    Look at my original post.
