    Hi.
I'm trying to setup a website, and after I connect to a database and create a connection string, I get an error while trying to add administrative user.

    Hello Ivan,

This is a very strange error in the Sitefinity Startup Wizard. Most probably it is related to the database. You are the first one who is reporting such problem. Could you please check the ~/App_Data/Sitefinity.log file to see if there is any additional information logged there?

Also try to create a new project with a completely new database to see if you will get the same error. If so, please send us the backup of the database.

Thank you for the cooperation in advanced.

    Regards,

    Hi.
You are right. It is database-related issue. I've tried with a different database and it works. I didn't get an error.
If you like, I can send you the database backup (the one that produced the error) and a log file.
But now, after I register the admin user, and select that I want Sitefinity to fill the pages, Sitefinity freezes. It shows that it is updating, but nothing is happening. Even, after an hour and a half, no update is completed.
If I refresh the page, it starts the Project Startup Wizard from the begining (I need to create a database connection). The same thing happens when I click Browse and Edit buttons on the Project Manager of Sitefinity.

I've restarted the Startup Wizard, and I've taken all the steps, again. This time I get this error:

And here is the part from the log file:

    Hi Ivan,

It seems you need to increase the size of max_allowed_packet in my.ini file. Usually, the file is located in the folder where MySQL is installed.

Do let us know if this is the issue.

    Hello Ivan,

Just to let you know, if you want to be able to upload larger files,  max_allowed_packet variable should be set appropriately. Otherwise you could get error message trying to upload file through Images and Documents module.

Let us know if there is anything else that we can do for you.

    Sincerely yours,
