    Hi

I'm a freelancer developing sites using the community edition (so far I've created a school website, who were happy to use the community ed). However I'm starting to get work from other clients who require the standard edition. I can't afford a license for myself so I'll continue developing with the community ed (at least until I become a partner and get some $$$s toward a license!).

Assuming the client has purchased the standard edition, is it possible for them to convert/import my community edition project into their standard ed project?

    Regards

    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,

You can download and use Standard Edition for your new project. On a local host you will not get a trial message and you can work without any problems. The trial message is not thrown when you use the IP of a host. However, there is also no problem to begin with Community Edition and afterwords upgrade it to Standard Edition.

As always thanks for the quick reply.

What is the procedure for upgrading a community site to standard? Do I just need to copy the \bin folder from the standard editioon, or is there more to it?

    Thanks again
    Adny

    Hello Andrew,

You need to upgrade your project using the patch for Standard Edition. You can find more information at upgrade-instructions
