    Hi,

We are currently using Sitefinity 3.5 in our production server and it is installed on the developers machines.  We want to use Sitefinity 3.6 to build another project.  Can 3.5 and 3.6 be installed in the same developer machine at the same time with no problems, as they still need to support the first project?

    Cheers

    Hello Ahmed,

We confirm that this is possible.

The Sitefinity installer creates different program groups for every version, that said, Sitefinity 3.5 and 3.6 will be installed in different directories. You will have shortcuts in the Start menu to both versions.

Please note that if two projects are connected to one database, they should both be the same version.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Greetings,
    Georgi

another consideration is the telerik controls. If you add the controls to your toolbox in visual studio using the dll from one sitefinity version, you need to make sure you don't drop those into pages of the other version, since the Rad Controls versions usually differ between sitefinity releases...
