Is it possible that SiteFinity 3.2 (latest standard release) doesn't work with MySql 5? I've run into several problems during the database creation phase and have followed the directions in the forums but there is always another 'cant create stored procedure' error that follows.

    Thanks!

    Hello James,

Could you please elaborate a little bit more? What is the exact error you get? Are there any messages? Which stored procedure couldn't be created? Sitefinity should be fine with this database engine.

    All the best,
    Georgi

Well, at least according to Nolics, they don't currently support MySQL. Anyhoo, I first get an error about creating table "nn_counters", then on a refresh it says "Cannot create stored routine `telerik_Applications_ins`" and that's as far as i can get. Is there a create script I can start with and hopefully Nolics will work from there...

    Hi James,

Most probably, the user you are trying to connect to MySQL server with, has no permissions to create stored procedures. Please check this out.
Otherwise, we are not aware of any problems with MySQL.
Also, there is no such script for creating the whole database structure because all database objects are dynamically created based on the db classes in the code and the current structure of the database.

Please let us know if you still get the error with a user with full database permissions.

    Best wishes,
    Vlad

The user account did have full authority over the database, but it could just be my configuration if no one else is experiencing the same problem. Thanks for following up.
