We have just moved a SiteFinity project for a client that we are working on to a cloud hosting platform that supports Full Trust. (finally found one). While we can access the website through our new dedicated ip addresss, when we attempt to access  the admin login (i.e. xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/Sitefinity/Admin) we are being redirected to [domainname]/Sitefinity/Admin. This of course is an issue as the site is not live and we have only been developing and testing against an ip address.

Our new host insists that it is a programming issue where the default page on the Sitefinity administration area is forcing a redirect to the domain name instead of the ip address but we have never configured or programmed that type of functionality.

    Please advise and thank you.

    Hi gohigher,

We are not replacing the IP address with the host name. Furthermore we allow accessing the website by IP if there is no license key applied which avoids receiving the trial message.
When the request is not authenticated and you attempt to login we redirect the requests to HttpContext.Current.Request.RawUrl which does not include the host. You cold find more description at MSDN

Our host has recognized that it as a misconfiguration on their part as we assumed. However, when accessing the website through the ip address we are still randomly receiving the trial error message. Additionally now it appears as if the Telerik Control functionalities are non existent as the menu bars in our website and in the administrative panel have degraded to regular unordered lists.

    What could be causing this?

    Hi gohigher,

Could you please check your ~/App_Data/sitefinity.log error log file. There seems to be some problem with the controls loading their embedded resources such as style sheets and scripts.

    Sincerely yours,
