I'm attempting to install Sitefinity on my Vista box and following the setup instructions for IIS.  But, when trying to add IIS, there is no option under 'Security' to add WindowsAuthentication.  Compared with the instructions screenshot, I only have 4 options to choose from as well.

Any ideas how I can get all options to display and enable WindowsAuthentication? From another posting, this looks to be an issue with Vista Home. There is a mention that you can run Sitefinity on Home edition, but the no explicit instructions are given to make it work.

I should also mention I installed Sitefinity via the MS Web Platform Installer.

    Thanks

    Hello KhakiMan,

There are no difference between the installation under Windows Vista Home edition and another version of Windows.  Generally you cannot enable Windows Authentication under Home edition because the OS does not support it. You can use Forms Authentication to authenticate yourself.

Forms Authentication doesn't offer any help either, unless I'm missing something else.

    Hello KhakiMan,

Please take a look at SitefinityWatch where our evangelist Gabe Sumner has created more than 10 post about Sitefinity installation. As written in the previous post you cannot enable Windows Authentication on Vista Home edition, but this is not a showstopper to install Sitefinity.

    All the best,
